>>45475507I wish you and your wife a speedy recovery. Times are hard. For pokemon partner I think a croagunk or breloom would be a good fit since you can find frogs, mushrooms while hiking and cycling. Plus they can go hiking with you!
I'm not too good on the geography of the pokemon world but I would choose a town or city that's close to one of the many forests you travel through.
