Maybe you are too young to remember but DM, GX and 5Ds are GOAT.

They knew that they were just marketing tools like the ashnime but unlike the ashnime they actually cared enough to have plot and GOOD hype moments that weren't just for the sake of shilling.

Yu-Gi-Oh was good consistently from the first three series, the fourth one wasn’t well received in the West but was a favorite among the Japanese fanbase, and the fifth one was as much of a renaissance to Yu-Gi-Oh as Gen 6 was to Pokémon. I can’t remember what Duel Links one was about but I’m guessing that’s when the quality started dropping as I found out a while ago that the newest Yugioh anime is done by an entirely different studio from the previous series which were all done by the same crew.

It didn't "just" end horribly, it fell apart right at the middle of the series, just look at the episodes score, and I'm not a Vrainsfag, it was fucking boring nothing ever happened on its 130 episodes but for good and for bad it didn't drop quality like ARC-V.

That's not even remotely true. The new adventure is worse than the original in almost every way. It's got better action than the original but that's it, there is barely a plot and there's no character development whatsoever

It’s an entirely separate duel format, called Rush Duels which is just the rules of the game heavily simplified. You can summon multiple monsters on the same turn as much as you want, you can draw until you have a full hand, you can summon three monsters and then combine their attack together to do one big hit, and there’s reprints of the OG monsters in the new style that you can only have one of in your deck at a time

It’s really bad and the sales are absolutely terrible. What makes it worse is that since it’s a new separate format, Konami is releasing standard packs of the regular format stills which is selling incredibly well because they are basically Legacy sets making old pet and meta decks, meta again.

And since the new anime is based on the new format, with a new animation studio, and made directly for the extremely younger audience, it’s not getting any traction at all. It’s sad.

Journeys can't be expected to handle character development seeing as Go is completely botched as a character, his mentality is cancerous and childish but he's never called our or punished for it
even worse he's handed strong Pokemon with little effort and is about equal to Ash in strength despite zero training and Ash spending all his time in battle
it's as bad as prior shows when characters like Serena or Lillie would kick ass in Pokemon battles out of nowhere despite Ash struggling

It has its issues for sure.

Animation is fine at best.

They were figuring stuff out as it went on. Which is not a problem on itself, but it shows.
(That's why they were initially on an island and Etemon is just fodder).

Myotismon's arc was fucking dope.

The Dark Masters where great too.

Apocalymon felt a bit unnecessary.

In addition, the version i've watched (Brazilian Portuguese dub) had plenty of mistranslations but the cast did a phenomenal job.

The story overall could've been concluded in around 35 episodes.

I think it's just a coincidence.
For one, my brother couldn't care less about it.

But i suppose what helps huefags care about it is the dub.
I've only watched Frontier when it was broadcast in 2004 (if i'm not mistaken, 2005 maybe?) and i still remember every single voice from the main cast.
It's... just so well executed and full of life. I wish i could elaborate further, but my vocabulary fails me.

Also, both the OP and first Ending songs are faithful to the Japanese original.

Well, a friend of mine loves Savers to his very core.
If 'im not mistaken that is his favorite season.

Our OP for the first season was is an adaptation from the US.

However...
Digimon was broadcast on Globo, the largest tv station in Bananaland.
And the host at the time got to sing part of the song and for some satanic reason she was allowed to appear dancing.
I'm not joking. Instead of seeing the digimon doing their attacks and stuff she would just simply block you view.
To makes matters worse she is not a good singer.

Yeah, i recall the Royal Knights arc taking an eternity to conclude, but man 3/5 of the cast doing nothing that's something that literally faded from my mind.

They introduced Master Rule 5 a while ago, which abandoned the idea of Links being required to summon other Extra Deck monsters.
The Link Monsters got so busted that they didn't limit the Extra Deck anymore, instead they became the bulk of (most) Extra Decks.
So allowing Fusions, Synchro and XYZs to be allowed to be summoned without Links kinda became inevitable.

So basically TCPi isn't to only one to horribly mess up a card game with shortsighted decisions.

Yes and no. Links are still a thing, along with the extra monster zone, and still very relevant, but they don't restrict the extra deck anymore, with exceptions of Pendulum Monsters and themselves. Plus pendulums were still nerfed with the pendulum zone being in the spell/trap zone. It's basically just MR4 but not fucking retarded

Yes, but the battles aren't very exciting.

It's really not. Everything feels rushed and there are way to many legendary Pokemon episodes. The fact that we went from Zapdos, straight into the SS arc, then today with Mewtwo it feels like it's trying to gain attention through Pokemon who should rarely show up.

The show is boring because there is no sense of progression in anything Ash or Go do. Give me back Gyms because they were always important steps to the end of the series. The only real good thing about the series is Ash no longer looks retarded but is now a just a softer version of his XY/BW self.
