Not to an extreme as I once thought.
Big-boobed May isn't the fault of fanart though, as the anime had a hand in influencing that taste.
Like I can understand stuff like inflating another character's boobs or adding extra thickness where there wasn't much thickness before (even then, this isn't that much blasphemy. The world isn't gonna end if Cynthia's an F-cup or something like that) or even altering a character's design to appear more sexy (Toadette, etc.,) but there tends to be a line between creative license with a few understandable changes and flat out redesigning the character.
