My fav gen 8 mons were the entire Scorbunny line, both Corvisquire and Corviknight, and cute lil Eldegoss.

Drednaw os great for SwSh. It doesn't have the highest BST, but water, rock, and dark coverage helps in a lot of places, and it has good enough attack to use it.

In terms of in general favorites for Sword/Shield, I'd say Cramorant. (Was the first ever Pokemon I Shiny Hunted in the game because I loved it so much.) In terms of starters though, while I love the Scorbunny family in general, Raboot is my favorite out of the three.
