I'm just gonna say it.

The reason this music video is so popular is because it's the way this franchise supposed to go. Growing up with its fanbase. It comes to no surprise the video resulted in looking very much like Digimon because that's what the fans want. To actually see the world expand and grow with them. Instead of what is shown in that video this is what you get. A bunch of copy pasted games that will never be anything but glorified rock paper scissors. Gotcha MV literally mocks you as it shows you a world you should get but will never have. Make fun of Digimon all you want but at least with each installation the series grew bigger and the characters relate more.

The industry killed what could have been the greatest experience ever in favor of easy money. And there's nothing you can or will ever do to change this.

And yes, I will still buy the next game like the conditioned sheep I am. Because there's no other way for me to escape into pokemon world other than this.
