>Why?
Back when Fairy was rumored, there was also another type rumored: Saint type. Ever since, I've had the idea for this type stuck in my head.

>What?
It's not quite Light-type, but it's also not Holy-type either. It blends the ideas of light and cosmic powers with heavenly beings to create a new type that covers ground currently left "covered" by Normal, Psychic and Fairy.

>Who?
Pokemon of this type would have connections with the sacred and divine. Mystical beings of all types and cultures would fit into this tent. Not just Pokemon angels, but also cosmic beings, pure and blessed animals, or mysterious spirits or creatures that don't quite fit under the Fairy, Dragon or Ghost umbrella.

>How?
Saint-type would fit into the type chart as such:

SE against: Dark, Dragon, Fairy
NVE against: Ghost, Bug, Psychic, Poison
Resists: Ghost, Fairy, Steel
Weaknesses: Dark, Dragon, Psychic

Saints slay dragons, vanquish the dark and bring reason against magic. That said, spirits, impurities, those of strong reason, and insects just can't be shaken by faith alone. Likewise, Saint-type is weak to the very dragons and darkness it can defeat, and a reasonable mind (Psychic) can bring doubt to the faithful.

Searing Light - basic Flamethrower equivalent
Exorcise - SE against Ghosts
Cleansing Flame - dual Fire move
Chakra - heals HP and cures status effects
Consecrate - removes and prevents hazards
Angel Whisper - cuts HP by 1/2, target receives effects of Endure for the entire turn
