Ask them. It doesn't change the fact that they already decided to do it and it will STILL be more worthwhile than SWSH after the DLC, as unfortunate as that is.
They have never cared about fan opinion over what they believe to be the better option. If they even cared to look at sales data then they would have went back on the direction SM took the series and stuck with the more traditional style that Gen 6 had with future titles.
Again, they didn't. They do whatever they want and this is the direction they took. I'm just the messenger.

Not in one game of course, but yeah. The reason there are so many Kalos/Alola Pokemon that are "tropical" missing is because they're going to shoehorn them in the Battle Area. It's not bad in theory but much like base SWSH it just resorts to them shoving old shitmons where they don't belong which could easily be fixed by just not including them and instead letting everyone be in one game.
It'll be interesting to see a diversified Sinnoh. Shame Kanto didn't get that treatment although LGRB did fix some things.

The first mega evolution period was Rayquaza and it's a different scenario because it was the wishes of multiple people giving it the power to mega evolve.

They're doing core remakes. LGDP are core games just like the originals were. It's going to be on the same engine as SWSH and LGPE, too.

Yeah, except it didn't use the latest Gen's engine (a heavily modified past Gen engine, in fact, something no core remake ever did) and core remakes get made in the current Gen engine (FRLG in RS's engine, HGSS in DP's engine, ORAS in XY's engine). DP remakes will get done in Sword/Shield's engine.

No, the ME universe is different to the original, but Hoenn and Kalos both exist in the same universe. Only a few Hoenn Megas aren't coded into XY, they can still talk to each other otherwise.
Just as the DP remakes will take place in Galar's universe and be compatible to an extent with them as XY and ORAS were.

The biggest problem with the original LGPE was that it was restricted to KANTOOOO. If they had made it the first proper Kanto remake unlike FRLG it would have been considered better than anything since HGSS.

I think the only reason LGPE was open world because the original gen 1 let's the player do a majority of the gym out of order. Sinnoh on the other hand only let's the player skip Maylene's gym and they completely got rid of this in Platinum iirc

Megas are flashy, and even if they did give some new pokemon some needed buffs, a good deal of them were given to mons that did not need them, and said undeserved megas had no real reason to be there. They are gimmicks, but the best one we had so far.
