I feel like a lot of Pokemon Smash mixes miss the mark. Plus only pulling from main games is a sin when MD, the Orre games and PBR (among countless other spinoffs) have amazing OSTs.

This was the first, ear-grating version that got purged from the game all together. BrawlBRSTM used to have it before he deleted his channel. God, I hate how they fucked this legendary theme up the ass. They did everything right with all the other Gen 5 themes but my favorite main legendary theme is ruined. The worse part is that the Dragonspiral part is the only good part and it's just randomly shoved into this song.

I'm no music theory expert so I can't put why I don't like it into words, I just know replacing most of the horns with strings is part of the reason it doesn't go as hard as the original.

As I'm replaying Silver on Virtual Console, I feel like the Wild and Trainer Battle themes from Kanto belong here.
While the remixes themselves are solid, hearing them in-game can get a bit grating when battle animations start overriding the sound channels and isolating the higher pitched instruments:
