Some Smash drama is currently bringing to light how aggressive Nintendo has been in taking down mods and general use of their characters/IP. So how in the fuck has Showdown survived with thousands of daily concurrent users? Nintendo mustn't be in-charge of Pokemon's legal issues because there's no way in hell these same people find a mod of Ultimate more threatening than a Pokemon game that literally acts to simulate the game for free. I'm glad I don't rely on Showdown at all these days, because I'd always be concerned in the back of my mind that it could suddenly be gone any day.
