For the past three gens I've played the games chasing that feeling I got from playing the old games and each time I've never found it. The games suck now. I can't put my finger on what exactly they're missing but they just don't feel like Pokemon anymore.

Don't tell me it's because I'm not a kid anymore. Even though I'm an adult now, I still retain a capacity for wonder and a sense of adventure. Pokemon used to tap directly into that. I remember the genuine awe I felt when I played RBY, GSC and RSE for the first time. Even DPPt captured it perfectly, even though I was older when I played it. Now when I replay those games I only feel painful nostalgia.

I wish Pokemon hadn't lost the script.
