I normally agree, but RR's dexnav makes all the flaws of packing every Pokemon in one region go away. As long as I don't have to manually run in circles for 4 hours looking for the thing I want, I'm happy.

Mainly because a ROMhack is 2D and SWSH is 3D. Making 3D games is way harder. Models take dozens of more effort to make than sprites.

Because they cram 800 creatures in games that are supposed to work with 400. Double the size of the map, reward exploration (really, not just a fucking super potion), and most importantly make it fun, and you'll see you can make a game with all 1k Pokémon.
At least if a real team was on the project, and for more than a year or two. Fuck gamefreak

The funny thing about this arguement is that the wild area is the perfect way to add Pokemon without bloating routes. They could do seasons to rotate species (even let you control it once a day to give control), swarms, maybe a way to leave food out to lure Pokemon where you can get rare ones (think RSE did this in the Safari Zone?). But no, leave it to Game Freak to waste potential.

Unironcally this. Radical Red cramming multiple low encounter rates made looking for Pokemon boring, it's a grind fest in every goddamn route, and it happens twice because of the day/night cycle.
This could be avoided by making the region big enough, but that's something GF won't do.

SWSH already has so many old shitmons that they overshadow the new. Just look at Sizzlipede.

Or they problem could've been addressed like every single other game and had them programmed in, but not necessarily catchable in game. Being able to transfer them in is all anyone is asking for, smoothbrain
