Why the fuck would I turn off the exp share in any of these games? Being able to turn it off is a non-factor because at that point you’re just artificially handicapping yourself and discussing difficulty is pointless at that point because you can just arbitrarily handicap yourself in every game.

Exp share just means that anyone who plays properly, as the game was intended (catch and use all the Pokemon) doesn't have to grind as they rotate their 100+ Pokemon in game team in and out. And anyone who doesn't rotate at least 40 pokemon as their in game team is playing easy mode for retards.

This. Playing the game with the same 6 Pokémon from start to finish is basically like overlevelling your starter and not using anything else in gens 1-4.
Your dex should be half full, minimum, by the end of any 3d era games.

Definitely XY, although ORAS are easier like othets said. SwSh are only easier than other games if you do a lot of grinding or use the strongest Pokemon available. If you just play through the game normally without abusing Exp candies you will end up underleveled near the end.
