Pokemon like Scyther, Heracross, Vikavolt, Golisopod, Centiskorch, and Volcarona are great designs. Even the more out there designs like Buzzwole look good. I don't think there's a single bug type that I think is bad looking. Thoughts?

Bug has the most consistently good designs, but there are some stinkers, like Blipbug, and I'm not a fan of Whirlipede or Masquerain personally, but even the low parts of the bug type are higher than the low parts of types like Steel or Ice.

Yes. The Snom line is just the Volcarona line but disappointing in every way. Worse typing, worse stats, worse movepool, and worse designs.

Mostly for the spectacle of it, I like the image of a gigantic UFO hovering over the battlefield. I don't care much for the base form though

As great as bug type designs tend to be, to be honest I think a lot of the credit should go to the source material. Just look at any of the real-world creatures your favorite bug types are based on and you'll probably find that they're just as amazing as the pokemon they inspired. Pic related, the classic that started it all

yes, there are just 3 bug types that I don't really like and even then I don't hate them, I just find them really boring.
Imo since gen 5 bug types have only got great designs (except for the gen 6 caterpillar, that was a bit boring) and I hope this trend will continue in the future
