I'm sorry, but nuMay (and all nuGen trainers) just look atrocious. The eyes are so huge and soulless and the wide open chipmunk mouths are just so abhorrent.
The smaller eyes looked better, less creepy, and the more modest mouths looked better as well. Obviously we both disagree on this, but I just can't believe you would think Ken Sugimori has "improved" when his art seems to have deteriorated so badly that he can't draw limbs properly anymore. The ugly faces can be argued he just prefers drawing that way now and it's a completely subjective style thing, but whether or not something is more "cohesive", doesn't change the fact that if the limbs look like they're broken, it's worse than before.
