So I've been playing a lot of FireRed on an emulator lately and I've come down with a strong urge to catch 'em all.

I'm thinking this week I'll pick up a GBA with FireRed, play through it catching everything possible, then try to find some people in my city who will trade with me to complete the dex. Then I'll move on to Emerald, transfer all my mons forward and repeat. Then buy a DS and do the same with Platinum, Heartgold, and White, and then if I'm not bored yet I'll move onto the 3DS gen and then maybe even the Switch games.

Is there anything I should know? Are there any glaring issues with my plan? I'm thinking I might actually start on Emerald just to get a breather because I've played so much FireRed lately.
