Wondering the same, I don't follow a single Pokemon related YouTuber and yet most of my feed is full of completely unrelated channels opening these boxes. Like even animation channels suddenly doing face reveals only to open these things, why? Or restoration/technology general channels that have absolutely nothing to do with Pokemon, even some wildlife ones, they're all posting community announcements of "Watch me unpack a gazillion dollars worth of Pokemon TCG!"

Real talk, I don't remember packs or early sets EVER being worth this much before. I know Logan Paul's dumbass made everything inflate, but what were Base / Jungle / Rocket packs and holos going for before all of this? I only ever bought like 2 Rocket packs but as I remember they had like nothing in them, but that's to be expected considering I got them for around $40 together. This was a few years ago.

I regret watching the video where he goes over how much money he makes. It's opened my eyes to just how horrible the world is to it's workers. You have literal slaves forced to work 14 hours a day in banana plantations for nothing, people that have to work in nursing homes for 10 hours a day for minimum wage, and hairy manlets that get to sit home in their mansions all day and play vidya that make $2,000 a day. It's disgusting.

He got lucky. That's it. The only reason he became popular is because a popular youtuber shouted his QWOP video out. Everything after that has just been his initial luck rolling consistently due to him being a "safe" youtuber (he swears and says vulgar shit but it's a child friendly kind of vulgar. The kind of shit you could show a 12 year old and they'd think it's the funniest thing in the world). The reason I get so infuriated at streamers for making 60k a month is because it's a job almost anyone can do, and unlike high-skill jobs like welding or nuclear power work there is no skill ceiling outside of being decent at video games and being able to talk for long periods of time. The only thing that separates the 1% from the 10% from the 89% in this entire entertainment field is whether or not the 1% throws someone in the 99% a bone which instantly drags them up towards the upper 10%. I'd say only the bottom 30% of people couldn't ever be popular, no matter how many lifesavers were tossed their way by the 1% of streamers.

If I made 60k a month I'd buy everyone I care about a fully furnished house, give them a minuscule amount every month so they can pay the bills while just working part-time, and then I'd be able to hang out with them more often. It sounds cliche as fuck but the worst thing about working full-time is not being able to hang out with the people you like.
