I've recently gotten into Pokemon - WAY more into it, relative to any point in my past due to watching challenge runs & WR's on YT / Re-watching the "Buntd, Saga" on Game Grumps / discovering I have a 3" thick stack of cards left over from my middle-school years (I was just consecutively very lucky about trades I did, and it was solely the trade that I was interested in at the time) / (etc.) - ANYWHO - I'm wanting to get caught up with all the fun I missed out on, growing up. Should I buy a DS? What games were your favorites! Is it possible to ROM a few of the older games on my PC? What is something that I should have asked /vp/, that I didn't? - I know it would be easier to redirect me elsewhere, if a FAQ board existed, or whatever, but I want to get into the games asap & would love to hear more from the people who've been lucky enough to grow up with the games, for hype's sake! If it were a cult - initiate me.
