>>45550429>weasel based pokemon won't be as fast as weasel based pokemonIt's more that they wouldn't want to repeat concepts too closely.
>>45547043Japan has a few mythical weasels you can base pokemon on, ice is already covered by sneasel being a kamaitachi, and while technically raikou, zeraora, and electrike already cover the raiju they also come in the shape of electric weasels or civets. Also compared to other raiju, the weasely kind sometimes has an extra pair of limbs that would really set it apart from furret's polecat looks. It would be neat if you could catch it in different seasons/locations for different typing and colours though.
>>45547538Mink aren't ermine, ermine don't produce enough fur to be viable in the industry since least and short tailed weasels are small and the changing colour of their coat might have imperfections depending on how they're kept. If you see an ermine coat in paintings of royalty, remember every black V shape on it is the tail tip of a cute little critter. It takes a lot of tiny killing machines to make one cloak.
>>45547584Honestly it's a really inefficient bsuiness in the age of artificial textiles and I didn't realise we still had farms south/west of Russia.
>>45548715Again, not a mink, but also martens have been wiped out by traps and hunting in a number of countries including England and Scotland so ghost would fit for tons of regions.
>>45548744Skunk has handstand charge animation when he uses tackle, therefore I pick skunk.
>>45554550Yup, and in myths badgers were a tad more clever and better natured than raccoon dogs, mischief-wise at least. They stay in the mountains out of contact with people and should they use deceptions they maintain their act until they leave society. If caught they're more likely to spook you off than to steal or harm. Badgers know to keep to themselves.
