- it starts/started with a champ battle being designated manually by someone on staff
-everyone in the room that is marked as a champ battle gets 'marked' (added to a list)
-when enough listed users join a battle (they don't have to chat) it is designated as a new champ battle and modchat is set.
i dont know if people joining AFTER modchat is set in a designated champ battle, but i'm sure the list is refreshed every once in a while. this means even if we post battles in lobby and other populated rooms, it probably won't do much, because even if we get 100 people in lobby added to a list, it won't affect their battles unless a certain number of them all happen to join the same battle. there has to be another way to make this fuck stuff up though.
