>>45552733Unova isn't a straight line. Galar is a straight line. The progression is linear, yes, but if you actually explore the region as you collect HMs you'll find tons of secrets in the routes. Dungeon design in Gen 5 is great. The dungeons are easily the best parts of Gen 5's map design.
The Gym Leaders and E4 having fewer pokemon does casualize the experience a bit, but in BW1 the first fight with the E4 isn't even the real E4 fight, so to actually claim the title of champion you need to fight them again where they have a full team of Pokemon in the low 70s. In BW2 there's challenge mode which gives them more pokemon at higher levels.
They replaced some things, not exactly removed. Musicals are a stand in for contests that are focused more on timing than strategy, berry planting was in the free global link functionality and the only thing you listed that was truly cut was secret bases. It did add seasons though and there was a lot more in BW2 as well. Bottom screen was plenty useful as well. The dream world thing was fun and you have to be a complete faggot to think otherwise. It sounds like you just didn't take advantage of it.
The basis of the region literally doesn't matter and them being more culturally distict is a good thing since it helps them stand out from one another more.
Keep seething shithead. Gen 5 is one of the best in the series.
