That furball, the Chinese panda doll, and that cat are all amazing. I would have probably liked Johto a hell of a lot more if some or most of the betas were in the game.

But the beta dex has highs just as high as the released dex. Mons that would have been some of my favorites.

Yes but Pokémon suffers from Nintendo syndrome which is really similar to Disney syndrome. Characters are made to be as simple and objectively cute/cool as possible in order to sell products.

I think if they came out when they were originally intended we wouldn't care too much about them now. But since we now know they exist as cut Pokémon, it's immensely painful to know we will never see them be made legitimate. I don't know what game freaks problem is, but they have this weird obsession with not taking fan input, using creations from other games as influence, or revisiting old concepts once they have been shown to the public. I'm pretty sure they've gone on record even saying all three of those things. It's such a shame too because a lot of those beta Pokemon would be amazing to see brought back in a future remake. It may only be a matter of time, but not in our immediate future. I just can't see it happening
