There's the savannas which could make up the core of the region but then you've got the mountains like Kilimanjaro which would break the grasslands and tropical forests, plus iconic deserts like the Sahara and Kalahari and rivers like the Nile.
In general Asia, South America, and Africa have so much more to offer for a region than Europe but unfortunately Game Freak likes to visit the places they base regions off of.
