Not understanding that theres actually a bunch of people who hate animerena, or another who don't feel fondly for her game version, and so on, is the way you invite people to try and do stuff like the division that happened back in january or february, iirc. Just because you like one version of her doesn't mean you'll like all of them. This is even more true when you take into account that some of them don't see her as a cardboard cut-out because they're fans of her personality more than they are fans of her looks. Putting more emphasis on the latter is obviously gonna make you think "what's the issue with me liking all serenas?".
Simply acknowledging that being a Serena fan doesn't mean you'll necessarily like all of her versions is the first step to stop divisiveness.
