>>45565198Yeah, you're absolutely right, it's not particularly special. Made by one guy though so my guess is he just wanted the novelty of his little monsters in a game. The one thing it does have is that to get new monsters you have to defeat them and hope they drop a disc used to unlock them in a PC, but after you reach chapter 3 (I think, this is from memory) you can instead take discs to a machine where they're "combined" which can produce special unlocks. Oh yeah also you can't catch wild monsters, you just get drops that unlock upto three instances of a monster in your PC, the lore being that you can't control monsters, only artificial recreations, I guess that kinda counts too.
