I really really hope that the exp.candies will be a thing from future postgames and unobtainable during the story mode. What a fucking bastardization of the game

Any good Exp. Candies come from Max Raids so you can't be terrible at the game to even get them. It's honestly probably easier to just go through the main game without them, every game since Gen 5 has tried to keep pace with the player's growth (to various success or failure.)
