I remember playing one in high school that I wanna track down out of mild curiosity. Gary was replaced with Arceus and there was this awkwardly inserted plot about legendary Pokemon enslaving humanity. All the gym leaders were replaced with legendary Pokemon and they had insanely difficult team. Gary/Arceus herself had a full team of legendaries right off the bat.
I beat the hack out of stubborn pride. The hacker didn't touch in-battle items so I was able to cheese through fights I had no business winning.
