>>45584091>>45584095Bro it just doesn't sound like you played the hack.
>Brock and Misty aren't that bad if you just use (one of a handful of Pokemon)You can argue this of any boss in the entire game, its just noticeable here because the Pokemon pool is smaller.
>because this is where gym leaders start having perfect stat teamsNo, this starts at Surge.
>Yet, you STILL can't EV train properly and have to waste your time grinding your ass off and killing 200+ shittermons per set of pokemon you want specific EVs for to get your EVs.The Macho Brace quadruples EV gain. So if you register something that gives 2 EVs, you only have to kill 32 Pokemon per EV. Yes that still takes 'hours' probably but that's why you have speedup to massive cut down on time, or you can sit down, think about what you're fighting, and go get the proper counters.
>>The "mid-late game"This isn't that long of a section - you're only talking about May, Blaine, Cerulean Cave, Clair, and the pre-E4 rivals.
And if you didn't find shit like the back to back admin fight or the tag battle in Cerulean Cave difficult, I dont know what to say.
>Even Kaizos felt like less workNot a good comparison, Emerald Kaizo cut the encounter rate down to a hundredth of what it is and essentially forces you at some point to outlevel if you want to stand a chance, I could do an entire run of RR in the time it takes to grind a single mon like 10 levels in EKaizo. And as someone who's attempted nuzlockes of Blue and especially Crystal Kaizo those games have far more horrendous pacing and slowness than RR. Seriously the fact you can say Crystal Kaizo is even comparable to this game in being slow and unfun is bizarre.
I agree that power items should be placed earlier, but your analysis is genuinely very, very strange. The 'drop in difficulty' is noticeable for a handful of fights and otherwise follows a pretty basic upward trajectory. And of course some people can struggle more with some fights and less with others
