Is Jigglypuff still relevant in Pokemon in 2020? Or is she a smash character just like Falcon and the Starfox crew.

Jigglypuff is just a Smash character that only got in because it was easy to make by reusing Kirby's model and moves/animations

It hasn't been relevant to Pokemon since the original anime ended

Also got in because Jigglypuff was also popular around the time of n64. That and what you mentioned got Puff in smash as a joke character. Puff did almost get the axe in both Melee and Brawl too.

She was popular during the heyday, right behind Pikachu, and arguably more popular than the starters.
Mostly this was due to the anime, and the self-propagating nature of pokemon marketing that worked for everything but Poliwhirl.

She got given Competitive which is a pretty fun ability.

It’s a counterpart of sorts to Clefable but has a BST worse by 50 points. I appreciate that’s probably because Clefairy is rarer, but Wigglytuff would really benefit from having its BST increased to Clefable’s level.

I’d say either 20 to each Defense and 10 to Sp. Attack or 20 to Sp. Attack and 15 to each Defense.
