I needed to catch Seviper for my living dex but the only game it appears in that I owned at the time was Pokémon X. Problem is, it only appears in hordes with 4 Zangoose (in Y its 1 Zangoose with 4 Seviper) and they are programmed to attack the Seviper so you can't catch it, since you need to beat the 4 Zangoose before they beat the Seviper. So what do you do?
Get a pokémon with Trick-or-Treat (like a Gourgeist or Pumpkaboo) and use it on Seviper. It becomes part ghost type and is thus immune to the attacks of the Zangoose.
