for me, its a toss-up between gumshoos and the type trio. For someone new to the game, the trio really helps them get the hang of type advantages, but on the other hand, gumshoos' trial was not only great for beginners, but pretty fun and had good buildup. Totem Pokemon in general were pretty good.

I would say the waiters because it teaches new kids about type match ups while not overtly favoring any starter. Even Charmander has to put a little extra effort to beat Brock with Ember/Metal Claw
The only real downside to the waiters is that your only real counterpick are the monkeys but BW1's crap variety is pretty well known at this point

So the origin of this image is that some dude was complaining about the National Dex being too much of a grind because he really wanted the Black Trainer Card. I suggested that he could with trade or touch trade with Anons for the Pokemon he didn't have so he could complete his National Dex. He responded by claiming that's "gay and basically cheating", which is bullshit because you're intended to work together with other players. That's when inspiration struck me like a sack of bricks and I replied to him with it.

So the reason for it being made is because it's funny, much like any OC here.
