Doesn't really matter; he is canonically the greatest trainer after making Red look like a school kid. He can one shot teams with a single Togepi.

Why would Gold have all three starters? Red has three because he is based on his Pokemon Yellow version, in which Bulbasaur, Charmander & Squirtle are given to him.

-I definitely think he's got Typhlosion and Togetic, Kris has Meganium and Silver has Feraligatr.
-Most likely the red Gyarados.
-I like Scizor and Umbreon for the reasons already mentioned and also because they represent the new types in his debut gen.
-The last spot is up in the air, Tangela/Tangrowth completes the Fire-Water-Grass set and he is mentioned to own a Tangela. Ampharos and Donphan are also reasonable choices. I don't think he'd use shitmons like Noctowl in his final team, Red probably also Caught Pidgeotto, Butterfree, Raticate etc but only used the Strongest mons in the end.
