i can't believe /vp/ actually likes sequels more than dlc
pokemon gets away with selling 2 versions of the game and then another 2 of almost the same game next year
dlc is definitely the right direction
it seems like this board wants to shit on swsh in every way they can so they ignore actual improvements it made

Yes, a game that builds upon what came before, rather than serve as the finishing parts of a half complete game will always be preferable. Pokemon had one (1) chance to nail DLC, and they blew it spectacularly with the shortest, most barren, and least content packed game to date, why should I pay them more to fix that?

I got 24+ hours of gameplay out of the dlc and I'm not even done with dynamax adventure and restricted sparring yet, but whatever you say champ!

I dont understand the third version/versions lust people have. I always got annoyed at them because I was forced to start over from the beginning with a new team instead of just continuig my initial playthrough.

It's simple, really: With third versions you can get the same game for the same price but with more content, and you can either wait for the third version or sell the first one to get some money back. With DLC you're forced to buy the first version as well as the DLC, meaning you have to spend more money.
