Have any anons here ever gotten to a 100 streak in the 4th Gen Battle Tower? My best right now is 55 but I gotta get 100 for the trainer card star on this 100% run of platinum I’m doing.

Here’s my team, any tips on improvements? I was thinking maybe running Latios instead of Starmie and Heatran instead of TTar https://pokepast.es/c015b48b43e28ae6

Never bothered, personally. By that point I was pretty tired of just the standard battle format, if you needed an interesting gimmick to hold my interest, like the Pike, Castle, or Pyramid

For Garchomp, do you need max speed investment with Jolly and Scarf? Seems like overkill to me.

Otherwise, what you have looks fine. Those 3 can definitely clear 100 battles. Many others have used an almost identical team for that.

All you need to do to make this team work is give Garchomp an Adamant Nature and swap Crunch for Aerial Ace on it. You may want to swap Life Orb for Expert Belt on Starmie, too.

You might struggle with some dumb RNG hax that the AI throws at you. Coverage power and speed are nice, but all it takes is one mon with Quick Claw + Fissure to come in and shit on you. Consider using Substitute on either Starmie or TTar

I've tried using teams such as yours, however they always die off to some random AI bullshit like pic related. Tricking a scarf onto the AI's lead will increase your ability to control the battle dramatically as well as the AI rarely switches out

It definitely counters you / at least your lead

Weavile for example I sometimes face often, not that it is much of a threat cause sandstorm chip + scarf revenge kill beats all the sets

In a way, it is. It's not playing by the same rules you are.
No one's going to run Sleep Talk/OHKO Move Walrein because it's a shitty gimmick set that's not going to win 49 or 100 times in a row. But it can cheese out a win once, and that's all it needs to do. The AI's not under the constraints of having to put together a consistent winning strategy.

It literally does cheat, and anyone who claims otherwise hasn't played it.
Quick Claw activating 3 times in a row and OHKO moves landing 3 times in a row is nigh impossible under regular RNG.

The chances of both those events occurring are improbable, but how many times have you landed 2 crits in a row under normal circumstances? That is less probable than either of those happening.

The rest are pretty good
Castle you just grind castle points in the early rounds and can skip entire sets of battles and go straight to Gold

Hall is very long for gold but satisfying

Factory is nice but RNG can be a bitch

Arcade is probably the best out of the 5

The Hall actually gets easier as you go on since you deal with the biggest threats early. It took me maybe ~10 attempts (I wasn't EV trained for all of them) to get the Silver Print, but I got the Gold Print first try from there.
Was using CB Chomp and only had a couple of scares in Normal after the big threats were done, and even those probably would've been fine if I had a +Atk Nature.
