a second kanto remake that refuses to address and fix the problems the original had. none of the evolutions added in later games meant to fix balancing issues, the routes are still tiny and bland in comparison to other regions, etc

Something about playing this game felt cheap. Like I was watching someone else play even though I was the one playing it. All of the needless hand holding and dialog felt like I was being talked to as if I was a brain dead toddler.
