Of course they will.
>Doubles down on the handholding and babying the player
>Doesn't change the level curve to compensate for the modern EXP Share
>Trainer customization will be removed
>Won't use any of the Platinum-based improvements, notably Gym Leader/E4/Champion teams (ex: Aaron will use Beautifly and Dustox instead of Yanmega and Scizor)
>Postgame is incredibly short; it's just the Giritina/Distortion World event but the Distortion World is just a hallway
>Other dungeon areas and puzzles are also gimped or outright removed
>Other than that, the map is nearly 1:1, game feels even smaller somehow
>Shoehorns Dynamaxing into the plot for some reason
>No events for the Mythicals
>Fight, Survival, and Resort area are locked behind day 1 DLC
>Battle Tower is the only battle facility
>Contests, Underground mining, and Amity Square are made worse somehow
The only thing that will be better from a gameplay perspective is the faster engine speed, extended regional Pokedex, and QoL for breeding/EV training, which is all negligible with the speed patch and doing whatever the fuck you want on an emulator. The online will probably be better, though.
I'll just replay Platinum.
