Not at all. The only thing they share is them being a cheating asshole to you, but Klara does it in a fake cutesy, passive aggressive way while Avery does it in a smug, psuedo intellectual way. Avery also has a better motive for wanting the secret armour and becoming the best gym leader than Klara. But /vp/ doesn't care about because they don't like SwSh and can only go by character design so they choose Klara.
