>>45616827i find the super ost to be good, but it lacks the emotion and catchiness arata iiyoshi flooded his songs with. i am not dismissing the emotion in super's ost, as it's full of it. a great example is escape 01/run away fugitives from r/b rescue team. its melodies and instruments are repeated throughout the game. i couldn't stop smiling when boss 02 played at rayquaza, and i couldn't stop crying at the separation and ending. their implementation is fantastic, because they remind the player with a stream of memories as fugitives, which is a personal moment both partner and player share. the music transitions in r/b dungeons is also shill bait. my favorite is sky tower. sky tower 1 is catchy and its like "hello, anon. this is the final dungeon. you've worked towards this." then sky tower 2 kicks your ribs and outputs desperation as the game throws tough pokemon to rape you. it's freezing, getting difficult to breathe, and you're almost at the end. also, super's ost suffers from the shitty 3ds compression.
