the pokemon TCG is extremely cheap compared to other TCGs. even the online version is dirt cheap because you can trade for whatever you want.

It's kind of fucked up that the fucking pokemon tcg online , the one with the least incentive to be accessible to people who aren't actively buying product, is the one with an actual trading system. Even more fucked up that having a trading system for an online card game is a novel and unique thing.

PTCG was absolutely passable in terms of gameplay and especially price (not counting auto-include cancer like Shaymin-EX), until they've introduce 3-prize Pokemon and ruined the game.

Most people don't actually play the game, they just collect the cards. Even if you care about the gameplay PTCG is the budget-friendly option for TCGs, being way cheaper than Yugioh/MTG.
