Cryptids are untapped potential (aside from the small handful like Sableye) that could be great as legendaries. Pokemon that are actually only considered in legend that you have to hunt down through hints and discover them in strange locations or through cryptic means.
Who am I kidding, GameFreak would never do that. Post Cryptid Pokemon ideas, I'll share mine in a bit.
