I have no idea why they decided to make a Pokémon with practically only 1 weakness in Gen 4, said weakness being a rather rare type in that Gen on top of that, be so common.
Bronzor & Bronzong just tank shit every time and they confuse you.

I agree, but I once caught a bronzor for a platinum run and when a grunt sent out a similar leveled bronzor I used imprison to make it struggle itself to death, so I think that makes it all worth it

It was a restricted year. Bronzong is good because it can setup trick room, it basically can't be one shot by anything, it can Gyro Ball to hard counter Xerneas, and it can Hypnosis in a format where Gravity isn't out of the question (Gravity + Precipice Blades was a strat).

Last I checked Metagross can't open up portals to other dimensions and single handedly save humanity from famine/drought by making it rain at will. Last I checked Bronzong is friendly and easy to catch while Beldum/Metang have ridiculously hard catch rates for no good reason.
