>>45673743>so what exactly is he complaining about?Because he plays 'optimally'. So every calc has to be perfect, every EV spread has to be tailored specifically for each given fight, if an IV spread has to be perfected it has to be perfected (and there's only one very painful way to do this on a nuzlocke), every item has to be Thief grinded as necessary, and you have to consider hundreds of different variables each time, the Elite Four took iirc nearly 3 days to just plan for? In comparison Drayano hacks are much easier and don't require the same absurd amount of grinding and specificity.
Combine this all with the fact that if you do play optimally no random trainer in the game is particularly very difficult and then comes the complaint about the game being a 'boss rush' whereas in Drayano hacks randoms can somewhat still pose an issue.
Now all that being said, I think the fact he was handed documentation that told him the stats and sets of everything in the game from the beginning with chat spamming surefire strats of beating bosses at him ended up was a major mistake, and I think a lot of that philosophy is retarded (you don't need absurd overplanning to beat this game), but it's his viewpoint I guess
