>>45673108>completely random which games iEntry games sell alot more than second entry games on a system, so unova and alola are the only games that sold less than their predecessor and successor (which are both second entry games) with the only difference being that unova sold on the ds which had a bigger install base of the ds but was outsold by 2 million and alola had the install base of the 3ds (which is smaller than the ds) but was outsold by a couple thousand. We'll see if gen 9 continues the trend.
