this buzzfeed-tier site lists its top 10 fox pokemon and has Jolteon as a fox pokemon.
Would you consider it a fox pokemon, or any eeveelution for that matter?

i can see the argument because eevee is definitely a fox, but jolten is one of the least foxy eeveelutions

so that means its up to interpretation I suppose

I'm making a team of pokemon based on some of my favorite animals to battle against my brother. I had considered using Jolteon as a fox since its one of my faves
I also plan on adding an owl (somehow)
a frog
and some form of feline

Some Pokemon are always like that, while others are "insert thing here"-monster. Like, Vileplume is clearly a rafflesia. Now, there's arguments that when taken in the context of it's evolutionary line that's not quite accurate, but then we'd have to extend that to Pokemon like Yamper, which is clearly a corgi but evolves into that gif of the dog who wants to eat that cupcake but can't.

The Eevee line is supposed to be a vague animal. The original design of Eevee itself is inspired by whats-his-name remembering stumbling on an animal in the woods that he couldn't identify, and that as a result, Eevee is both vaguely doglike and catlike.

Funny because it resembles a fox much more than either animal; it’s evolutions like Glaceon, Espeon and Jolteon look uniquely like fox, cat and dog tho.
