But since the official games set the standards so low, i'd say that even games like insurgence, radicalred, and uranium, despite being clearly fanmade, have a more interesting story evolution than nu official pokemon games. Of course there are some exceptions, like Reborn or SolarLight&LunarDark, where the story is appalling and manages to be worse than an official game.
