So what's the consensus on marks? Are people really looking for pokemon with marks, does that make them as valuable as shiny mons?

They're a neat little thing but I can't see myself ever going out of my way to specifically hunt a Pokemon with a certain mark. At that point I'd rather just shiny hunt something instead.

Marks are neat. One of the few things I genuinely love about Gen 8, they give a reason to catch wild pokemon and they can be pretty cool.

One of the best new features. I've been doing RE hunts to try to get shinies with marks but no luck so far.
Already mark hunted the birds and currently going for the swords.

They need to make marks pass down to babies. It would be fun to get as many marks as possible on a mon. As it is, if this game sold 16 million copies, I'm guessing 15 million players never noticed this feature

I think it's a cool little addition, but it'll never reach the same relevance as Shinies. The title feature was probably introduced to flex your rare ribbons to other players.

I've caught about 700 pokemon in swsh and I only have about 5 of them, one of which was a mon on my team. I think they're neat but no one should take them that serious, since other than the name (which I'm not sure even shows up in online multiplayer), it's not immediately noticeable like shinies are.

I don't really hunt for marks or anything, but I generally appreciate them. Sometimes they add just a dash of character to a Pokemon.

Managed to catch a Brilliant Aura shniy Nickit with a Peeved mark and a Swirlix with an uncommon mark.. Thinking of mark-hunting the bGalarian Brds, but I'm nowhere near ready to start, shiny hunting the Swords first at least (already have Virizion).

I had no idea this was a thing since I'm not stupid enough to want to play Sword and Shield. I wish it wasn't quite so rare, but this is actually a neat mechanic. Any mechanics that give individual pokemon some extra personality is great.

Unironically cooler than the ugly ass shinies. Seeing shit like „Moltres the Furious” online or the event Pokemon with „the Pokemon Fan” title is fun. Yes, its grindy but its just a cosmetic, you dont have to care.
