Now, I can name a lot of famous rock statues and steel statues that have been relevant across time, how many famous ice statues or chocolate statues can you name? Without googling ice sculpture events?
It's a stupid ex post facto justification that doesn't fit any logical line of reasoning in terms of concept. I can bet money that nobody's ever had the thought "I'm gonna make a group of creatures based off statues" and they jumped to "ah yes, there are three definitive types of statues: rocks, steel, and ice".
