It was only how many episodes they had to crunch it down for length, I'm sure if Origins was made a full length series they could have fleshed out the rest of the team and dragged out the fights. They did fine for the tools they had at hand and there's no reason to keep seething over it.

we only saw 1-2 seconds out of each and all of them had off-screen conclusion
we literally saw Scyther just running on walls but we didn't see if it won or not

I can't. Once again GameFreak proves they only care about their interpretation of the original Kanto script and not the GS/HGSS rewrites that are actually good and what people remember fondly.
LGPE not including the Murkrow line will always be one of their biggest sins. Honchkrow is literally Giovanni's ace. (Kangaskhan is too busy being cucked by Persian in half of the continuities.)
They just don't care to fact check what they reference as the originals anymore. It would not surprise me if some intern downloaded a romhack of one of the games and concluded that it was actually the real game. It's the only way I can explain how horribly FRLG, Origins, and LGPE all turned out compared to what Kanto was and could be.
