Versatile, solid typing, really good with Calm Mind, high bulk, and capable of abusing the fuck out of it's low speed by either using Trick Room to make itself lightning fast or taking tons of punishment and healing massive chunks of health with Draining Kiss while 2HKOing if not outright OHKOing it's opponents. Without any sp.atk investment it hits like a truck. WITH investment it hits like a freight train. I'm confident it was designed with Trick Room and Draining Kiss in mind, because it's perfect for those two moves. It's also got really damn good coverage, a weird but fun gimmicky signature move that can let it actually beat certain things that'd otherwise wall it normally, it can even run physical or mixed sets if you want to for some reason because it even learns Swords Dance and has a workable attack of 90: a meme to be sure, but one that works. And it's all topped off by having one of the best (and my personal favorite) ability in the game, one of the few "Fuck You" abilities that screws over stall and stops people from just shutting it down easily.
Oh, also the support sets, can't forget those. Stuff like Nuzzle/T-Wave to spread Paralysis or Suicide Leads for Troom Teams with Misty Explosion. It's just really damn fun to use. Really there's a lot you can do with Hatt but those are the foremost examples that come to my mind at the moment.
I mean, I don't know why you'd single out Hatt specifically among the other mons in this thread as the one to question why I'd love using it in battle. But I adore it and it's not just for the design (which is top-notch).
