Idc if kanto is "bland" or whatever, sometimes I don't need multiple biomes, sometimes I just want a game about traveling across fields, mountains, forests and caves on an adventure with cool monster friends and absolutely nothing else and this game gives me that in spades.
Plot in pokemon fucking sucks as a whole, even if the story is good, the REAL fun of pokemon will always be the feeling of going on an adventure with cool battle monsters that you befriend and train, and no game understands that as well as this one.
