Bruh why is Cinderace so wanted in Smash for Pokemon?

I thought yall wanted Rillaboom baka

Now there's a Cinderace for Smash Twitter with almost 1K followers which ARENT DESERVED solely bc this person campaigns a sh#t character and Cinderace is the top Sword and Shield mon on globalsmashroster.com

If we HAVE to get a Pokemon give us something cool like Dragapult, is Cinderace really the most likely/wanted gen 8?

Plenty of people seem to think a swsh rep is very likely and that the rabbit is the most likely choice, following the pattern of Greninja and Incineroar that the starter final evo with the most in-game toys and biggest push gets in.

Personally I don't like Cinderace at all, I want Dragapult if from swsh or Garchomp for gen 4 remakes. But I will laugh my ass off if Sakurai's James Bond autism actually makes him choose Inteleon.

The hell? I'm not a coomer, if that's your only argument. You know it's true, Dragapult isn't being marketed near as much as Cinderace because TPC knows where to puts its chips, they made a choice and are clearly running with it, same way they blindly trusted Greninja and Incineroar, in the case of the former before it was even revealed to the public. If they had wanted Dragapult to be this gen's most prominent Pokemon then they would've used it more and promoted it way more, as it stands its simply the pseudo and nothing else. It's the equivalent of thinking Goodra had a chance to be in Smash instead of Greninja back then.

Plenty of people are delusional doomers. The optimal shilling window was in one of the slots that went to Steve and Sephiroth. I honestly thought that that spirit board event back then with Zacian & Zamazenta pretty much implied that they were not considering to add Swooshie stuff as DLC and pretty much every single announcement since then has reinforced this belief.

by the time FP2 is made, several designs of Gen 7 had existed.
and since Pokemon is considered "an exception" to plans, they can take the time to consider what people mostly want during the development before that said pokemon is picked as the final DLC newcomer.

Personally I don't think any more Pokemon should be put in Smash. If they put one in every generation the game will eventually have way too many Pokemon in it.

That said, there don't need to be any more pokemon in Smash, there's already plenty and it'd just feel like they're adding one for the sake of it. Give the spot to an actual iconic character.

Byleth slotted in perfectly for the Three Houses DLC. For the Pokémon DLC the time slots were hogged by Min Min, Steve and Sephiroth and Swooshie is too old by now.
